  • Know yourself
  • Know your topic
  • Know your audience
  • Communicate in the language, slang, dialect of your audience
  • Be simple, relevant, enlightening. Make clear your ideas by using examples, analogies, anecdotes, stories, "great words", and images, symbols and archetypes that are shared by most (if not all) of your audience.
  • Avoid jargons as far as possible (unless your audience know them and use them) and when you use it, define it clearly
  • Keep your sentences, paragraphs short and simple. Avoid complex and complicated sentences. Avoid double negation etc.
  • Use a pleasant and confident tone (or the tone that corresponds the content and affection being communicated)
  • And above all, have a clear, serene, tranquil mind. Only such a mind can organize and present ideas effectively.
  • Be receptive to people, and Knowledge. Listen actively.
  • Avoid stuttering/stammering, avoid referring to notes while you speak, use memory effectively. Be fluent.
  • Communication becomes difficult without a clear and vivid memory. Memory of faces and names of people and things, situations, words of others are also very important. So improve your memory.
