In this section you will find stages of will, SWOT analysis, decision-making skills, and so on.

Remember -

Wisdom is a holistic concept. It is an outcome of a developed ( or rather self-realized) personality. The components of wisdom, thus, cannot reorganize themselves to make wisdom. These analytical techniques are for those who are analytically bent.

The characteristics of a wise person are:

Will

Develop your will. This is the first step to become a wise person.

An effective will is the mark of a wise person. This will should be differentiated from the stubbornness which is actually neurosis. Your will should not be ill to you or to others. It should not ‘kill’ yourself or others. It should not neither be a weak will nor be a very strong will of the type of stubbornness. It should be a warm will that is positive to you and others.

To develop such a will, first know the stages of will and develop your will stage by stage.

The FIRST stage is to have a goal.

Start with a SMART goal. Only smart goals can make you more smart; only smart goals can bring smart results.

smart means -

SHARP Manageable Achievable Realistic Timely.

Your goals should be SHARP, Manageable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely. Unless it is so, it cannot bring better, reliable and faster results.

SHARP means

Systematic/Steadfast Harmonious Appropriate Robust Propitious

The word sharp also reminds that the goal should be as specific and very much one pointed as it should be. Unless the goal is not sharp, how can it pierce the goal? The goal should be harmonious with and appropriate to the person who is to implement it. It should be propetious.

The SECOND stage is to evaluate your goal.

You may do a SWOT analysis or a ERG analysis. SWOT, as most of you know, stands for Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats.

Do an ERG Analysis to know your SWOT.

ERG stands for ELICA Risk GMAT

ELICA (read ELISA) stands for EQ Level of aspiration Interest Creativity Aptitude

Many people now believe that EQ is more important than IQ.

GMAT stands for General Mental Ability Test

Evaluate your goals based on your aptitudes, interests etc.

The THIRD stage is to take decision: know the methods and techniques of decision making.

There are 3 main methods of decision making -

The FOURTH stage is to the affix your decision.

Fix Your FOEs.

Your real foes are FLAG Obstinacy EGO.

Flag symbolizes category and thus implies closedness. Closedness limits yourself by cramping your self-improvement. To be under a flag forces you to develop a I am OK You are Not OK attitude rather than the I’m OK, You’re OK attitude. So it is better not to be under any of the flags. Be open and accepting/receptive. Understand that everything that exists has a place ( & time).

FLAG means Fear Laziness Anger/Aggression Greed. Fix these foes. These are your real foes. To fix means to destroy. So find ways go beyond the categories you are trapped in. One way is to become more and more open-minded.

You should also learn to remove your fears, laziness, anger/aggression, greed. Some of the techniques to achieve these are described in the Psychology Page of this site.

EGO is also the source of all problems. Learn how to dissolve the ego. The more prominent your ego is the more vulnerable it is. Practise meditation (Holistic Integration Technique: HIT) and the Disidentification Technique: DIT

EGO is Envy (and jealousy) Gambling Oscillation. Do away with your envy & jealousy, gambling and oscillation. Know why you become jealous/envious, why you gamble and why you are emotionally unstable. Ask yourself and find the answers yourself.

So your foes are: flag, fear, laziness, anger, greed, obstinacy, ego, envy & jealousy, gambling, oscillation of mind. Learn how to destroy these foes.

‘Destroy’ your social/human foes by making them your friends. But never destroy them physically. Understand that FOEs (=enemies and the expansion of FOE) are also a source of motivation. Many of us are what we are today because of our foes – we have been trying to out grow our foes or to show them we are worthy and thus to abase them. So foes ( or competition) help you improve yourself with their constant (apparent) background threats.

On approaching from the positive end, FOE is Faith Optimism Enthusiasm. Have faith in yourself and your powers. Be optimistic and enthusiastic. Fix (=affirm) these FOEs.

By fixing and affixing the FOEs and then fixing your decision, you can effectively act upon it.

The FIFTH stage of will is to Plan –

Make a strategy (long term plan) and tactics (short term plan).

The SIXTH stage of the will is to act One pointedly

Be focussed. Do one thing at a time and do it with all your might and enthusiasm.

The SEVENTH stage of the will is to have persistence

This is the most important stage because without this one all the efforts done is turned to null

Continue working enthusiastically until you get the results.

Imagination

"Imagination is more important than knowledge" – Einstein.

Imagination is the single tool that both the artist the scientist and the entreprenuer require the most.

Everyone needs imagination. Develop your imagination.

Caution: "Nothing is more fearful than imagination without taste" - Goethe

Self confidence

"You must have faith in yourself and your powers. This faith is developed by overcoming obstacles cultivating 'will power' 'exercising' your will. You must learn to overcome the sordid heritage of olden days in yourself and outside you. Even a trifling victory over yourself makes you much stronger. " - Maxim Gorki

Unless you have confidence in yourself and the work you do, you cannot get the work done as it should be.

SIDHIS

Social friendliness, Insights, Detachment, Hope and Happiness Integrity, Self-Control and

isitvam, prapti, prakasyam

Anima – the ability to become small at will

Mahima - the ability to become big at will

Lakhima - the ability to become lightweight at will

Garima - the ability to become heavy at will

Isitvam - the ability to overcome all obstacles

Vasitvam - the ability to influence anyone

Prapti - the ability to grasp/achieve anything

Prakasyam - the ability to appear anywhere, anytime

A wise person can use all these siddhis in different dimensions and modes. And of course in Knowledge Management.

Optimism and openness to knowledge, new ideas, people, possibilities

A Wise Person is always natural, authentic, original, self-content and self-accepting.

So, do not imitate or become artificial in your behavior or in your works. Find your own ways and methods.

Express yourself naturally.

Be natural. Be yourself. Be authentic. Accept yourself.
